Author’s Note:

"I've been diligently sourcing exceptional whiskies for our collection, and I'm thrilled to share insights on the illustrious Yamazaki 1984.

It is widely known as the ‘First version of Yamazaki 25 years old’.

Collaborating with our marketing team and photographer, we've captured the essence of this remarkable single malt to present to you."

A Milestone in Yamazaki’s History

In 2009, Suntory unveiled the Yamazaki 1984, a limited-edition single malt crafted to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Yamazaki Single Malt brand, which debuted in 1984. This release represents Suntory’s dedication to tradition, innovation, and excellence, setting a new benchmark for Japanese whisky.

With only 2,500 bottles produced, the Yamazaki 1984 remains one of the most coveted releases in whisky history, a testament to Suntory’s mastery in whisky-making.

Each of these bottles are individually numbered, increasing it’s uniqueness and scarcity.

Exquisite Maturation Process

The Yamazaki 1984 owes its complexity and balance to a meticulously selected maturation process. This whisky was aged primarily in:

Mizunara Oak (Japanese Oak): Infuses the whisky with deep aromas of sandalwood, incense, and oriental spices, adding a unique Japanese signature.
American Oak: Provides layers of vanilla, caramel, and coconut, softening the bold flavors.
European Oak: Imparts rich dried fruits, sherry notes, and dark chocolate, enhancing depth and structure.

This exceptional blend of cask influences makes Yamazaki 1984 a whisky of incomparable depth and character.
